Artifact #21: An even bolder connection to the desert. Sleeping Beauty Turquoise is unquestionably one of the most sought after North American Turquoise there is. The mine, located outside of Globe, AZ, was closed in 2012 and has quickly also become one of the most valuable. Named Sleeping Beauty by the resemblance the mountain range the mine is located in to a sleeping woman, the rich robins egg blue is immediately recognizable.
